Vandage is an innovative company that has designed and developed a negative pressure wound therapy bandage. This bandage is the same size as regular bandages but has a miniature vacuum pump to include a vacuum (negative pressure) on the wound.
The NPWT devices
NPWT is primarily used for large open wounds but is now being used on closed incisions. The current NPWT devices use a bulky pump, however, smaller pumps are slowly entering the market. Training or healthcare professional assistance is often needed for current NPWT devices.
How Vandage works
Vandage is comprised of a miniature vacuum pump that is several orders of magnitude smaller than the pumps that are currently utilized in NPWT and is specifically intended for bandages.
