Problem

People use adhesive bandages on small to large-sized wounds, mainly to protect the wound. Since its first launch in 1920, by Johnson & Johnson company under the brand name BandAid, the basic structure of adhesive bandages has remained the same. The changes have been in the shape of the bandage, and the use of different types of gauze, with and without ointments. A bandage that can expedite healing of a wound is a major change in the adhesive bandage industry and would be of great interest to all.
NPWT has proven to accelerate healing of a wound, but its use on small-size cuts and wounds could not be justified because of its complexity, size, and cost.
